The highlight of the Weekend, the Kerry Fashion Designer of the Year Awards, aim to provide a forum for both established and emerging designers to showcase their talent to a local, national and international audience. Last year, womenswear and bridal designer, Delphine Grandjouan (overall); milliner Kathleen McAuliffe and womenswear designer, Matt Doody, walked away with the gongs. This year, the competition in the fashion stakes promises to be equally high and even more glamourous! Everyone is welcome to attend the awards in the Aghadoe and enjoy the fashion, fine food and opportunity to be there and see who is declared the Awards winners in 2010. Once again, the Awards luncheon is being filmed by TV3 Xpose and promises to attract many well known faces from the world of fashion and celebrity (last year Pamela Flood, Ken Boylan, Cathy O Connor, Louise Kennedy, Triona McCarthy, Derrick Carberry and Deric Hartigan were just some of the famous faces spotted at the Awards).
In its inaugural year, KFW 09 attracted international designers Louise Kennedy and Don O Neill (now dressing celebrities on the red carpet with his new label THEiA) and editor of IMAGE, Melanie Morris, to deliberate on its judging panel. KFW 2010 is no exception, and the judges of the Awards are Melanie Morris, Editor, Image Magazine; Joanne Hynes, Award winning international fashion designer; Constance Harris, Fashion Editor, Sunday Independent and Debbie O Donnell, TV3, Xpose

The KFW Fashion Designer Awards 2010 are open to all designers, either working / living in Kerry and open to all designers, born in Kerry, or whose Mother or Father where born in Kerry, and are now working in the fashion industry nationally or internationally.
